METHOD (А)
Rescue from Descender
The rescue plan during normal rope access activitiesas descending, would be "Rescue from Descender"
Step 1: ascend casualty's backup rope until your backup reaches the casualty's descender attach a long cow's tail to the casualty's D-ring;
Step 2: remove your backup that is below the casualty's descender and rеplасе it above the casualty's descender;
Step 3: ascend until you are slightly above the casualty and change into your descender;
Step 4: connect a short attachment from your descender connector to casualty's central A-point (two connectors);
Step 5: remove casualty's backup device;
Step 6: transfer casualty's weight onto you by lowering him on his descender;
Step 7: remove casualty's descender, ensuring your backup does not соте under load;
Step 8: ensure your working rope is by your right side and your backup rope is by your left side;
Step 9: pass the working горе through а connector at your right work positioning 0-ring;
Step 10: this is а requirement when using Petzl descenders to provide additional friction;
Step 11: check you have а clear route to descend to а safe area;
Step 12: descend smoothly to the ground with casual.

Rescue from Ascenders:
The rescue plan during normal rope access activities as ascending, would be "Rescue from Ascenders"
Step 1: ascend casualty's backup rope until your backup reaches the casualty's descender attach а long cow's tail to the casualty's D-ring;
Step 2: the casualty should already be in а near upright position via his chest ascender attachment;
Step 3: make а cow's tail attachment to the casualty D- ring to enable you to move your back-up device to а position above the casualty;
Step 4: ascend to approx. 0.5m above the casualty and change into descent mode;
Step 5: connect а short attachment from your descender connector to casualty's chest A-ring (two connectors);
Step 6: attach your foot loop to the casualty's chest A- ring and then pass the foot loop through the rescuers back-up device connector which has been connected to his working rope.
Step 7: stand in the foot loop and pull upwards on the casualty's harness. This will lift the casualty enough to enable his chest ascender to be disconnected from the rope. Lower the casualty until he is suspended on rescuer descender;
Step 8: ensure your working rope is by your right side and your backup rope is by your left side;
Step 9: pass the working rope through а connector at your right work positioning D-ring;
Step 10: this is а requirement when using Petzl descenders to provide additional friction;
Step 11: check you have а clear route to descend to а safe агеа;
Step 12: descend smoothly to the ground with casualty.

AID CLIMBING RESCUE (WIRE SLINGS)
Step 1: in case of emergency send one of level 1 or Level 2 to casualty;
Step 2: rig hauling system above casualty through grating using wire anchor slings, DMM Edge hog rope protector, Rig descender, and ProTraxion Self-locking pulley;
Step 3: level 1 or Level 2 should connect two ropes to casualty chest A-ring using two connectors;
Step 4: lift up casualty using hauling system, and remove Cow's tails from anchor points;
Step 5: convert hauling system to lowering system adding to lower hole ASAP with shock absorber;
Step 6: lower casualty smoothly to the ground.
METHOD (D)
Under grating, Rescue from Ascenders or Descender
The rescue plan during normal rope access activities as ascending or descending on board under the grating, would be "Rescue from under grating using "Caver lift" technique to switch basic rigging to lowering system.
Step 1: at ropes rigging stage, use at least doble length of rope for each drоpand basic rigging from anchor wire ropes and use DMM Edge hog rope protector for grating;
Step 2: in case of emergency, using "caver lift" technique, rеplасе knots with lowering system;
Step 3: from additional anchor point, install ascender upside down, connect to the rope and from lower attachment of ascender insta/1 pulley;
Step 4: using foot loop or cow's tail (depend from position anchor point) place them through the pulley and using additional connector and ascender connect at the end of cow's tail or foot lube, and then connect to the rope below first ascender;
Step 5: connect foot loop (from rope) or cow's tail to chest ascender croll and using counterbalance technique lift casualty up;

Step 6: make slack on the main rope above top ascender;
Step 7: install temporary back-up on back-up rope;
Step 8: remove and de-rig ropes from main anchor point;
Step 9: install from main anchor point descender and back-up;
Step 10: remove temporary back-up and "Caver lift" from the ropes;
Step 11: lower casualty for few meters;
Step 12: send level 1 or Level 2 on the extra set ropes to connect two ropes rigged through grating using DMM Edge hog rope protector above to casualty A- ring with two connectors;
Step 13: then install hauling counterbalance system from main anchor point using Рго Traxion self- locking pulley and Rig descender.
Step 14: start haul casualty with hauling ropes and lower with existing working ropes.
Step 15: at point, were casualty will be above, switch hauling system to lowering system;
Step 16: lnstall from lower hole of Pro Traxion Absorblca shock absorber with ASAP, deactivate self - locking mechanism, and use descender to lower casualty;
Step 17: lower casualty smoothly to the ground.
